    Hotel Villa Angela, Taormina.

By far and away my favourite hotel in Sicily for the sheer beauty of the scenery, astonishing local restaurants, beautiful rooms and great service is the Hotel Villa Angela in Taormina on Via Leonardo da Vinci. My trips to Villa Angela have inspired my love of Taormina and great authentic Sicilian food & wine!
This super-friendly boutique hotel has only 27 rooms and an intimate, family-run atmosphere ensuring that every guest feels instantly at home.

Set in a panoramic location above Taormina with spectacular views that stretch from the crystal clear waters of the Ionian Sea all the way to the top of the volcano, magnificent Mount Etna, and up to the picturesque, mediaeval hilltop village of Castelmola, Villa Angela is a wonderful example of welcoming Sicilian hospitality. Each morning guests can discover the typical flavours of Sicily with a rich and natural buffet breakfast or sample authentic Sicilian cuisine at lunchtime served on the restaurant's panoramic poolside terrace.

With swimming pool and free car park, Villa Angela offers an unforgettable vacation in beautiful rooms (all with air conditioning/heating, furnished balconies and breathtaking views) amidst the warmth and hospitality of a splendid Sicilian residence.
This hotel is owned by Jim Kerr who, while on tour with rock group Simple Minds in 1995, fell hopelessly in love, not only with this most romantic Mediterranean island but also with the warmth of the Sicilian people and their passion for life ...and their food!

So was born the dream of creating an intimate hotel where others could enjoy this magical place.

As may be expected, our interiors include the famous ceramics of Caltagirone, in a range of shapes and colors. Placed throughout the decor, these pieces create a combination of effects that successfully combine the villa's warm and luxurious atmosphere with old aristocratic Sicilian style.
